Description
Gorgeous wine. 94 points by Halliday and just a lovely example of what Margaret River Chardonnay should be. Sorry it's taken so long to get it on the web!!

WINEMAKING:
The warm growing season in 2009 resulted in ripe luscious chardonnay fruit at Were Estate. The low-yielding vines produced fruit with excellent flavour intensity. The wine was barrel-fermented in new Burgundian oak barriques for 9 months to impart subtle oak flavours. A small amount of battonage provided added texture and complexity of flavour.
NOSE:
Rich, ripe white peaches and nectarines with nice toasty oak.
PALATE:
Stone fruit and some citrus flavours on the palate balanced by vanillan oak. Lovely mouthfeel and persistent length. A luscious chardonnay.
CELLARING:
Drink now or cellar for up to 6 years.
