THE VINTAGE |
|
The 2008 vintage was in early April, which is about our average time for harvesting our red varieties. The winter was mild and wet as usual, with the latter half of spring drying off. The transition from spring to summer was slow. The summer months were dry with average temperatures. The incidence of disease was very low. Given this & the great dry summer conditions, the resulting fruit was magnificent. The Merlot was easily managed under these conditions, was disease free and required few spray | |
